Sketchbook Project 2015 - Wanderer

It's that time again - I have my next sketchbook project ready for submission! This time I decided to do 2-page spreads instead of single pages. At some point after I send in my submission, you will be able to see the digitized version along with all of my other digitized projects at at the library (click for search result page).

Until then, I'm sharing this fun project here!

Front & Back Covers

Dedicated to the One that Got Away

Let's get this party started!

Graffiti Wall #1 - An interactive element of this sketchbook in which viewers are invited to share a picture of their comments

My wildly inspired morning - based on a lesson from Effy Wild

Carnival - a doodle in colored pencils

Happy Flowers! - Based on a lesson from Diana Trout

The Happy Wanderer (song lyrics) - another interactive element
Snap the QR code with smartphone app to hear Purdue Varsity Glee Club - it's fun!

Happy bubbles!

Sweet! - Base of left side is a collage of Easter candy wrappers.

Cleaning Brushes - a page made completely from wiping paint off of brushes used on previous pages

Paint on catalog pages and then cut them up for collage - Based on a lesson by Alma Stoller

The Road Less Traveled - Based on technique learned from Tammy Garcia

I have been bitten by the travel bug and am happily infected!

Scribble Doodle - a technique I learned in the 1st grade from Mrs. Hines!

Carousel - using methods learned from several artists for drawing mandalas.

Carousel mistake - the sharpie used on the next page bled through. Oops!

Let's go fly a kite!
